Week 14 - Day 94 Falling off…
So… my 1 week off is looking more like two now.
I’m still at my same weight (189 lbs) — have been at this weight for about 3 weeks now. Can we say plateau … No measurements have gone up but I haven’ t lost inches either. I also starting to feel “softer” and I know that it’s my nutrition & lack of weights & cardio. My BF% might of possibly went up?? I don’t know, my period this month totally kicked my butt - haven’t really had energy for nothing! Could I possibly be falling off the wagon???!!!
No. I haven’t fallen off & don’t intend to.
I received Dr. Berardi’s Precision Nutrition kit last night and am currently reading it right now. It’s a bit different than the BFFM principles as far as carbohydrates go, but it makes sense. Eat more fruits & veggies and only eat complex carbs after you’ve earned them (ex. after you have worked out) — your muscles & body tolerate them better this way. I will start applying the “10 Habits” in my next meal because I totally blew it for lunch!!! And… will be entering his body transformation challenge as well which will be starting next week.
I also gotta say that these past couple of days I’ve pretty much been eating like crap. My breakfast, snacks & lunches are ok, it’s the afternoon meals that are KILLING me & my progress!!! AHHHHHH!!! Last night I did clean out my kitchen (meaning, I threw away stuff instead of eating it!!! ) of almost all the “junk”(sorry Jav)! I aint buying that stuff no more!!! I already told hubby that we are going to do this together & that I won’t be buying him his junk food & snacks anymore, and he said, “OK.”
Yeah right! We’ll see love.
Anyhow… I guess that’s pretty much it for my rant of the day.
I’m planning to do a body weight circuit training workout when I get home since I won’t be able to get to the gym.

Hey girl, don’t fall off! Ain’t gonna happen no way! I noticed you tried to sneak your blog out your siggy, but you’re in my cookies lol!
You know, this sounds a lot like me when I hit my plateau. You sound very insulin resistant (most women of color are). Maybe consider a Ketogenic Diet like Atkins or Kimkins (modified to include more calories of course) for a week or 2 to reset your metabolism. It’s working for me, I’m losing again! I picked up the Atkins book from Half Price Books (do you have them in El Paso) the other day and ccan’t put it down. It just makes total sense.
No matter what girl I’m rooting for ya! You’re doing so awesome! Keep up the great work!

Thanks Kass… I too am slowly discovering that I may not tolerate carbs very well. BUT I LOVE THEM!!!!

Done that too many times already and it really hurts!
And of course I would NEVAH fall of the wagon again!!!!
I don’t know that i’m quite ready for a Ketogenic Diet yet… maybe when my body fat get’s lower & I have to shedd those last couple of fat lbs that are so hard to get rid of.
For now, i’m going to be applying a lot of the principles of BFFM & Precision Nutrition to see how far my body can transform with that.
This darn period is finally going to be over — so I should be ready to go and full of energy!!!
Check back to see my progress.
Blessings,

HI Vilma,
Plateaus will happen…but just get right back on track. You are in this for the long run and your body will reward you as you stick to it.
I’ve been a trainer for many years and I spend more time with my clients and their eating than I do my own.
I am going to enter the challenge too, and will post info./ pic soon.
You can see some great results that one of my clients received from doing the diet modifications from Metabolism Advantage. My site is http://www.stephencooper.name
I wish you the best,
Stephen
