Hey Alexa... I have heard about that condition... it actually happend to a lady here in town about 1 year ago. A radio station was having a contest where the person that would drink the most water would win something... well, this girl pulled out of the contest complaining the she coun't drink anymore. That night she died.

As for me... I exercise a lot & that's why I drink that much water. My body is used to it already I guess. I don't drink anything else either... I found a formula that calculates how much water you should drink based on your weight and activity factor. I'll post it up in a little while...

Hi Vilma:

Well, since you haven't died yet, I suppose that for you, 160 to 235 ounces of water in a day is ok :)

Actually, I have read about people who have died from hyponatremia - drinking too much water, so I just wanted to point out that you do get some water from your food (fruits, vegetables, etc. and that counts toward your daily intake). I personally should probably drink more water. When I have occasion to drink 64 ounces or so, I always feel really hydrated. I'm sure I could drink more. For me though, I think over 100 ounces in a day would be too much, unless I was doing lots of exercise or it was hot outside.

Thanks for your comments on my blog!
