Weekly Update - 8/11/2008
HELLO! :D
So, I think I finally have a PLAN that I will be able to stick with. I’m switching workouts, yet AGAIN… but since I am now staying at home, I have a lot more time to schedule the many things I have to do as the new executive administrator for the Perez family.
That being said… as of today, I will be switching my workouts to P90X (Classic version) and will be doing that in the mornings at home. Basketball will be reserved for the evenings so it will give me time to recover & rest.
This is what my workout schedule will look like for this upcoming week:
Monday - Chest & Back, Abs, evening basketball leauge
Tuesday - Plyometrics, afternoon basketball
Wednesday - Shoulders & Arms, Abs
Thursday - Yoga, evening basketball
Friday - Legs & Back
Satruday - Kempo, basketball or tennis
Sunday - Rest
I weighed myself on Saturday and am down another 3.5 lbs in 2 weeks. I am reserving my measurements for once a month now… so I really don’t know how much more inches i’ve lost, but my husband has told me that I look a lot thinner! :D What a sweetheart! I finally went to go buy some new jeans this weekend because the other ones that I had where very unflattering and falling off my hiney already. XL’s are down history and i’m fitting into L’s and M’s now!
Daily life has been great, peaceful & stress free! I am in week 5 of Living the Proverbs 31 Life and becoming the Woman God wants me to be. And now i’m on to week 5 and I will be focusing on Mangement Tools for my life. Today I read about maximizing each day that I have and learning to make the most of TODAY. Since none of us has a guarantee about tomorrow or next year, all we can do is make the most of each day that we have. I think it’s good to have goals & list’s… I know I live my life by them. But what we really need to focus on is today. You can apply this to every single area of your life… Spiritual, physical, relational, personal, financial, etc. Ask yourself this question: What do I need to do TODAY to fulfill these areas? Write one thing down for each category and check it off as you finish it.
For example, this is my list for today:
Spirtual: TAG (Time alone with God)
Physical: P90X
Relational: Spend some time with my sister
Personal: Pick classes to register for this upcoming fall semster
Financial: Update quickbooks
Hopefully this will help you make the most of your day or atleast point you in the right direction!

So… here I sit trying to think of how I can express myself and be open with what has been going on in my life recently. Without going into too many details… I just have to say that God has been faithful and good. I don’t know where I would be right now if I didn’t have Him to hold on to. What has gotten me through these tough times is the Bible, lots and lots of prayer, music and… EXERCISE! I’m soooo extatic to say that because usually, I would turn to food before. My love of running has increased, and i’ve started to play basketball again - my #1 sport.
