7/24/08 - VBS, basketball & soreness
Hello! I hope everyone is well today. I myself have been doing pretty good. This week has been crazy busy because we are having VBS at our church. For the past 7 years i’ve always been “coach” and in charge of the games. However, this year I decided that I wanted to do something different. So… I am the official “photographer”. Awesome! I’ve always liked to take pictures and capture those special moments that people have. We’ve been learning that Jesus give us the power to… be thankful, help others, be brave, live forever, and to tell others about God.
Here is a slide show of this years Power Lab VBS. It’s been sooo much fun!
On another note, I am still playing b-ball every day for about 1 hour. My shot is improving every time and I am happy to say that I have won my 1st pick up game! My endurance on the court has also improved significantly and my resting heart rate has gone down by 35 points. I am also training for my 1st 5K using the Couch to 5K running plan. Weights are coming around slowly. I am currently doing the original Turbulence Training 12 week program which includes a lot of body weight exercises as well as lifting heavy with fewer reps. Hence the ’soreness’ in my title. I am SORE!! Ouch. I like it though because I know that my body is healing itself and going through positive changes.
Food choices have been better although not perfect. But then again I am not perfect so I will just have to try my best every day to make the best eating choices for my body. Weight scale has not changed much but I do feel that my clothes are a lot looser so I am defenitely losing inches. I will taking my stats & measurements this weekend and post them here to let you know how i’m doing.
Be blessed today!

Congrats on the b-ball game! Even though I have decent height, I’ve never been able to play that game. Maybe it’s because I was always too busy playing soccer/tennis/baseball.
